Let me welcome you to the CPD platform. On this platform, you will access CPD content and relevant information relating to continuing pharmacy education and professionalism in general. The CPD platform is extremely important for PSZ members as it will enhance the quality of care that patients and clients receive. This CPD platform has an approach to self-directed lifelong learning and will not only increase overall competency of our members but ultimately enhance self-development and professionalism. Ultimately, this CPD platform will prepare pharmacists for the ever-changing pharmacy landscape and place the Zambian pharmacist in line with the emerging and current trends in global practice.
The PSZ is the main professional body of pharmacists and pharmacy technologists practicing in Zambia. The Society is registered under the Registrar of Societies Cap. 119 of the laws of Zambia whose members are experts in the provision of pharmaceutical services to the public.
One of the key objectives of the Society is to contribute to the continuous improvement of the standards of pharmaceutical practice in order to contribute positively to healthcare service provision in Zambia and also to help maintain the highest standards of pharmacy training in the country
Founded in 1980, the Pharmaceutical Society of Zambia (PSZ) is a non-political and non-religious professional body that serves to represent the interests of Zambian Pharmacists and Pharmacy technologists. It coordinates its activities into an organized forum for association with members, other professionals, affiliates or affiliated bodies and the general public. The main aim of the PSZ is to ensure that the highest standards of pharmaceutical training and practice across all sectors are maintained to ultimately ensure that the nation receives the best pharmaceutical care and practice.
