Apply for Individual Membership
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association! On this page, you can find out how to claim or purchase your Individual Membership. All membership applications and subscriptions are managed through the CPA Academy website – at the end of the registration process, you’ll get an account on the Academy to manage your membership and access your CPD benefits.
There are two ways that you can become (or may already be!) an Individual Member of CPA:
- By being a member of a National Pharmacy Association (NPA) formally affiliated to CPA. If your NPA holds an organisational membership, then you are automatically an Individual Member of CPA as well.
- By purchasing an Individual Membership in CPA, which costs £20 GBP per annum, payable in most global currencies.
Who is eligible for automatic Individual Membership?
If you are a qualified pharmacist or pharmacy student in good standing, and you hold membership in one of the following organisations, you are automatically an Individual Member of the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association. As an Individual Member of CPA, you get full access to the CPA Academy, including the Academy Platform.
I don't qualify for automatic Individual Membership. How can I join?
You can pay an annual fee of £20 GBP to become an Individual Member of CPA. To apply for Individual Membership, please select the currency you want to pay your fee in below, and have your bank card details ready for payment. It’s a fast, simple sign-up process and you’ll gain automatic access to all your membership benefits upon successful processing of your payment.
As standard we accept Individual Membership payments in Great British Pounds (£ GBP), United States Dollars ($ USD) and Canadian Dollars ($ CAD). Where possible we prefer payments in GBP as our banking facilities are in the United Kingdom. However, we can accommodate payments in other currencies on request.
Please note that all payments setup a recurring annual charge to your card. You can cancel this charge at any time via the Stripe payment portal, or write to membership@commonwealthpharmacy.org requesting a cancellation. We are unable to issue refunds if you fail to cancel your membership payment in time, so please keep a note of when your payment is due to renew.

Pay in another currency
If you wish to pay in another currency, please email membership@commonwealthpharmacy.org and a payment liNk will be generated for your preferred currency. Your rate of payment will be based on the conversion of £20 GBP into your preferred currency. Please note we reserve the right to decline payments in other currencies, especially currencies subject to international sanctions or money laundering regulations.
