Community pharmacists are very important in fighting AMR due to being well placed to have an impact on both the prescribing of antimicrobials and also to advise the general public. By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Define the role of community pharmacy in Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS)
- Outline factors to judge the appropriateness of antimicrobial prescriptions
- Support patients by providing public education on antimicrobial use
- Support the implementation of an AMS programme in practice
This course should take approximately 4 hours to complete.
