Hone your skills in
Pharmacy Practice
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the single greatest threats to global health facing us today. Without urgent action, tens of millions of people will die from antimicrobial resistance infections in the next 25 years. As pharmacists we have a vital role to play in ensuring and enabling patients and other healthcare professionals to make use of antimicrobials in safe, sustainable and effective ways. Our antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) learning materials are designed to empower you to be an effective leader in the struggle against AMR.
CPD E-courses
All of our e-courses are completely self-directed. You study in your own time, at your own pace, and can either complete the course in one go or in small individual units. Most of our courses represent about 4 hours of CPD learning. Upon completing the final assessment of the course, you will be able to download a certificate confirming your completion and recording the number of CPD hours this course was worth.
Our Pharmacy Practice courses are focused on strengthening your wider, non-clinical skill set as a pharmacist, particularly when it comes to your role in maintaining public health through ensuring the safe, effective and sustainable use of medicines.
Advancing Community Pharmacy
Advancing Community Pharmacy initiative is an open access project by the CPA Academy to showcase examples of what empowered community pharmacists can achieve, hoping to inspire colleagues around the world through peer learning and supporting advocacy for expanded pharmacy roles in our communities.

Soft Skills for Pharmacists
In 2024/25, the CPA Academy was funded by the Commonwealth Secretariat to host a series of webinars on ‘soft skills’ – non-clinical skills and knowledge that can help pharmacists advance their career – for early career and student pharmacists as part of the Commonwealth Year of Youth. These webinars are now available for free to all CPA Academy members and are aimed at supporting pharmacists to better understand their progression opportunities and strengthen their suitability for professional employment.
