It's Commonwealth Pharmacists Day! Every year on June 16th, the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CPA) marks this day to celebrate the achievements of the pharmacy profession across all 56 countries of the Commonwealth.

In many parts of the world, the role of the pharmacist is growing more complex, with expanded clinical responsibility. It's often pharmacists who are on the frontline of the fight against conditions like HIV, Malaria and antibiotic resistance, or making healthcare accessible to underserved and disadvantaged communities.

Health systems are increasingly recognising the unique role that pharmacists can play as medicines experts, frontline care providers, policy advisers and trusted community figures - whether that's in local neighbourhoods, in hospital teams or as strategic system leaders. But there's more to be done to empower and equip pharmacists across the Commonwealth.

That's why this Commonwealth Pharmacists Day, CPA is celebrating our commitment to Generation Change and highlighting the stories of young, inspiring pharmacists around the Commonwealth - brilliant early career professionals who are showing the world the incredible potential of our profession.
