The Breast Cancer Education Bundle is an ongoing collection of oncology learning resources, delivered by CPA in collaboration with the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners.
Each month, our team of technical experts selects one learner who has completed the Bundle with distinction as that month’s ‘Best in Class‘, recognising their outstanding engagement with its educational content and final reflective assessment.
Read on to explore the winners for January, February and March 2026 and how the Bundle has impacted their practice. Thank you to everybody who has participated in the Bundle so far, and congratulations to our Best in Class!
January 2026: Ndamulelo Mudau
SOUTH AFRICA
“This has totally shifted how I approach patients. I’ve started chatting more about breast health with women who come in, encouraging self-checks and early consults if they spot anything off.
“It hit home how crucial our role is in medication adherence and managing side effects during treatment.
“Overall, big thumbs up for upskilling us pharmacists to make a bigger impact!”
February 2026: Sandile Shiba
ESWATINI
“Learning about survivorship care planning and the importance of culturally sensitive communication around breast health was especially impactful in our resource-limited setting.
“This knowledge has transformed my practice. I now proactively screen for medication-related problems in patients on adjuvant therapies and provide tailored counselling on managing side effects to prevent treatment interruptions.
“These changes will directly benefit my patients by improving treatment continuity and empowering women with practical knowledge for early detection.”
March 2026: Frank Nkurunziza
RWANDA
“I learned about the importance of collaborating closely with oncologists, nurses, and community health promoters to optimise treatment regimens, monitor adherence, and support early detection initiatives.
“This learning has influenced my practice by encouraging me to take a more active role in patient education and care coordination. For example, I have started collaborating with community health workers to provide counselling on self-breast examination and to raise awareness of breast cancer risk factors.
“I believe these changes will directly benefit my patients by improving early detection, enhancing medication safety, and providing more comprehensive support throughout their cancer journey.”
